Current Projects

  • Multiscale Approximation Methods for Scattered Scalar- and Maniflod-Valued Data - Joint project with Dr. Nir Sharon (Tel Aviv University). The project is funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
  • Kernel-based Multilevel Methods for High-dimensional Approximation Problems on Sparse Grids - Derivation, Analysis and Applications to Uncertainty Quantification - Joint project with Prof. Christian Rieger (Marburg). The project is funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.

Previous Projects

  • Convergence of particle methods, particularly SPH - The project was funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, 03/2015 - 02/2018.
     
  • Complete Lyapunov functions: Efficient numerical computation -&nbsp Joint projekt with  S. F. Hafstein (PI) (Reykjavik University, Iceland), P. Giesl (Sussex University, UK) and C. Kellett (University of New Castle, Australia). The project was funded by the Iceland Research Fund, 03/2016 - 02/2019.
     
  • Meshfree methods for the numerical solution of partial differential equations from fluid dynamics - The project iwas supported by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. 09/12 - 08/2016.
     
  • Mathematics in the Round - The Challenge of Computational Analysis on Spheres. Joint project with Ian H. Sloan (CI, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia), Josef Dick (CI, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia) and Ed Saff (PI, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA). The project was funded by the Australian Research Council, 01/2012 - 12/2014.

  • Multiscale Methods Based on Unstructured Data. Postgraduate studentship, Oxford University. The project was funded by the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Global Research Partnership (KAUST GRP) and the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM), 10/2010 - 03/2014.

  • Innovations in Spherical Approximation - Construction, Analysis and Applications Joint project with Ian H. Sloan (CI, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia) and Ed Saff (PI, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA). The project was funded by the Australian Research Council, 01/2009 - 12/2011.

  • Calculating the Basin of Attraction in Asymptotically Autonomous Dynamical Systems. The project was funded by EPSRC, 05/2010 - 01/2011.
